Annual Membership Picnic

Members, please join us at our Annual Membership Picnic on Saturday, August 15. Our hosts, Wayne and Ann Sims, have a restored log cabin and country store on their property and are looking forward to sharing the history with us. The picnic starts at 5:00pm and is free and open to members and their guests. Please bring a dish to share, drinks and the main entree will be provided.

Our casual party is back! Wear your denim to the best party in Canton at the renovated offices of J&L Electric in the Canton Cotton Mill #1 (circa 1899). Popular classic rock band, Pressure, will be playing again this year and tickets are $35. You can purchase your tickets here.

Historical Society Quilt Raffle

Raffle to be drawn at the Cotton Ball

You don't have to be present to win! The Historical Society is raffling off two quilts donated by the Cherokee Crazy Quilters, who meet regularly at the Rock Barn. The first quilt is a Civil War era handquilted reproduction quilt using reproduction fabrics and a Civil War era pattern that measures 81 by 90 inches. The second quilt is a beautiful Pinwheel Pattern that measures approximately 70 by 80 inches. Tickets are $10 and $5 respectively and can be purchased here. You don't have to be present at the Cotton Ball to win.
